Activities

The preschool had four staff members, each with a degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.

The preschool staff and parents worked hard to provide a beautiful, bright, modern classroom with a huge choice of activities for the children, including:
  • Daily crafts
  • Water play
  • Sand play
  • Stories
  • Painting
  • Play dough
  • Dress-up clothes
  • Dolls
  • Cars and trucks
  • Computers
  • Puzzles
  • Blocks
  • Music and movement
  • Singing
  • A child-sized camper van

The children also completed daily worksheets for number recognition, reading and writing skills, and problem-solving. Two progress reports were given during the year.

Special visitors to the preschool included the Bible Hill Fire Department during Fire Safety Week, members of the Police Department, library staff, The Garden Club, a school bus driver, and many others. Former students often came back to read to the preschoolers, too.

Members of the Bible Hill Fire Department visited the older preschool classes annually for Fire Safety Week. The children loved getting to explore the truck and ask questions!
